One of our events in the year is a golf day in honour of its creator, Past President & founder member John Mackie. There were 41 entrants this year with the event taking place at the golf club of Rochester & Cobham. Last year’s winner, Paresh Patel did some masterful delegating as it was his remit to organise the event this year. Thank you to him and Nick Gaskill for their efforts. It was a very good day. The field contained quite a few of the members of the club, some ex members (and their other halves!) and quite a few guests who enjoyed a full English and a round of golf at the club.

The winner this year with a handsome score of 41 stableford points was Peter Jones with Nick Gaskill coming in second with 39. He was presented with the Quaich at our awards dinner in the evening, held at the Three Daws pub in Gravesend. We raised £280 on the night with the raffle. The guest winners were Victor Kiddie in the mens category and Sue Jones in the womens category. Great fun and Nick also wrote a poem in honour of the day and in memory of John.
