BEAMS Garden opening

BEAMS Garden Opening

Beams, one of charities which offer support to disabled children and their families has been raising money to help improve their facilities.

The Rotary Club of Gravesend and Meopham has donated money to help them create a garden and the following is an extract from their website:

“Following two years of fundraising our new garden for disabled children and their families is now open!

With help from the community, businesses and grants, we have been able to transform our once run down and shabby garden to a completely inclusive environment.

The Grand opening was on Thursday 30th March and officially opened by the charity’s Patrons British Paralympian and wheelchair racer John Boy Smith and Actor and Television Presenter David Ribi.  The day was a real celebration with trustees, children and donors attending.”

We had a few of our members at the grand opening.
