Fun and Fundraising at the Waterfront Beer Festival!

The Three Daws is one of Gravesend’s most famous pub/restaurants and is owned by one of our members.  For the first weekend in August each year they hold a Waterfront Festival with a wide selection of real ales, plus ciders, gins, stalls and much live music.

We hold a tombola stall on the Saturday, manned by members, with prizes – mostly drink-related – donated mainly by the Three Daws’ suppliers.

This year the weather was kind and lots of fun was had!  Just under £500 was raised for our charities for this year.

The entrance to the main bar of the Three Daws, which is believed to be the oldest riverside pub on the Thames, with records of landlords back to the 1460s.

Some of the team.

A collection of Club Presidents – L to R, Nigel Crocker (last year), Graham Price (current), Ryan Walker (year before Nigel) and Ian Harrison (a future candidate?)

A happy winner!
